Introducing PRO

As some executives at a big fruit named tech company would say: the biggest update of AirAssist since the launch of AirAssist. I’m proud to announce AirAssist PRO. For years the app has worked with two tiers: FREE and PREMIUM. Why the need for a 3rd one? Well, let me explain.

PRO usage
With the app growing into more regions and countries the app has seen an influx of new users. Amongst these new users are a lot of professionals who are involved in the day-to-day operations of the aircraft that are tracked by the app. Doctors, pilots, police officers, coastguard, fleet operators, you name it. These users have reached out to me in many occasions, informing me about use cases I never envisioned before. To better cater to these use cases, more time and effort is needed. This is where the PRO tier comes in. Making the user more committed to the app, so I can give them a better product.

Rain radar, history and desktop (web)
The PRO tier launches with three big features. A beautiful rain radar gives more insightful information on weather patterns, helping crews make right decisions. A 30 day history viewer, helping crews complete their mandatory log books with easy and finally the most requested of them all: a desktop (web) version. This web version really brings the PRO use cases. It’s already being used in control rooms in The Netherlands.

Organisation support
Being a professional also means something else: you are probably working for an organisation, and chances are your colleagues are also using the app. With the introduction of PRO I’m also launching organisation support. You can now easily create an organisation, and manage the subscription for all employees in a single place, without having to reimburse them one by one. Check the pricing page for more information. Going from PREMIUM to PRO
Are you a PREMIUM user, and interested in switching to PRO? Starting from app version 2025.2, you’ll be able to make the switch to PRO from within the Android or iOS app. Just select a PRO feature, and the app will prompt you to switch. Do you have an account? You can also log in on this site, and make the switch from here. Did you pay for PREMIUM one time in the last year? Log in on this site, and you’ll get an introduction offer to PRO.

What is the future for PREMIUM
There is no need to worry. The premium features you’ve always had and loved are still here and they are to stay within PREMIUM. Even if you bought PREMIUM one time back in 2020. New premium features will still be added in the future.
